A million-dollar slide

If you want to become a billionaire, you only need 10 clients. You think it’s nonsense? Look at this picture:

All joking aside, it’s not easy at all to win these 10 companies as clients, but that’s not the point of this story…

WHAT IS THE CHANCE OF MEETING BRAD PITT OR BEYONCE?

Actually, there’s a strong chance of meeting them…

Research has shown that you are only 6.6 contacts away from meeting any person on this planet. In other words, if you connect with the 6 right people, Brad Pitt or Beyonce can become your close friends.

However, becoming friends with celebrities is not the point of this story…

HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO BE PRESENT EVERYWHERE?

Recently a friend of mine asked me why I haven’t been giving more lectures and why they were so short. The truth is, I could be giving a lot more lectures and they could be longer. However, when we put the figures down, it turned out that with the number of lectures and the price I was charging for them, I was getting several times more media reach and profit than some of my colleagues who give lectures a lot more often than I do.

But the point of this story is not who gives more lectures and who charges more for them…

MILLION DOLLAR SLIDE

Have you ever seen a million-dollar slide? I have…

Although, no one named it “a million-dollar slide” before me, but trust me, it exists.

Some time ago, I was working on a campaign for a brand whose target was a very narrow circle of experts. If I remember correctly, there were 20 of them, maybe even less.

On that legendary slide, there was information about how a brand can get 90% of the market share if they find 6 key experts who use that product. Only 6 out of twentyish is enough for you to become a monopolist. That’s why I named it “a million-dollar slide”.

So, what is the point of this story?

Work smarter, not harder…
